Children’s Art Competition

The competition is open to all children ages 6-18 and those with handicaps regardless of age.
How to enter:
1.
Create a piece of art related to the theme LAND. All mediums are accepted: drawings or paintings, film or animation, printmaking, photography, sculpture, and mixed media. You may submit multiple entries, but no more than two of the same medium (for example, no more than two drawings). Original works only. Copies will not be accepted.
2.
All entries must be mailed to Dracut Arts, 55 Emerald Drive, Dracut, MA 01826 and postmarked by Saturday, October 4th, 2025. Entries will not be returned. Winning works become part of the Dracut Arts Children’s Show and are viewed on youtube, social media and at various gallery locations. Include your name, age, title of your artwork and medium used, dimensions of your artwork, phone number, address, and, if handicapped, type of handicap, as well as an artist statement telling us a little bit about yourself and your submitted artwork.
3.
Tune into the Dracut Arts November Art Gallery, where the winners are unveiled! All winning works become part of the Dracut Arts Children's Show. They will be available to view on the Dracut Arts November Art Gallery on the Dracut Arts YouTube Channel. By submitting your work, you agree to allow Dracut Arts to show your work on our website, youtube channel, in our Children’s Show and publicity materials, etc. and give us full rights to your submitted piece.
Fine Print:
All entries with colors that can be dusted or wiped (such as pastels or charcoal) must be fixed.
2D entries (drawings, paintings, photography, digital artwork, printmaking, mixed media): Maximum dimensions are 70 x 50 cm or 27.5 x 19.5 inches.
3D entries (sculpture, mixed media): Maximum dimensions are 100 x 70 x 40 cm, or 39 x 27.5 x 15.75 inches. Maximum weight is 9 kg or 19.8 lbs.
Film and Animation: Maximum length is 3 minutes.

All other entries: Abbie George (Arts Administration Project Manager, Arts Consulting Group; Assistant Treasurer, Dracut Cultural Council; Nashua, NH), Judy Krassowski (Visual Artist; Teaching Artist & STEAM facilitator, Trinity High School, Manchester, NH; Art Therapy  Consultant), and Tom Briere (Photographer and Photography Instructor, Dracut, MA).
