Patrick Gabridge

Patrick Gabridge is a writer of numerous plays that have been produced by theatres across the country. His short plays have been produced in all 50 states and 17 countries. He’s also the author of four novels, The Secret of Spirit Lake, Steering to FreedomTornado Siren and Moving (a life in boxes). His work for audio has been broadcast and produced by NPR, the Huntington Theatre Company, Lyric Stage Boston, Gather by the Ghostlight, Shoestring Radio, Playing on Air, and Icebox Radio Theatre.

Patrick is the founder and producing artistic director Plays in Place, a company that creates new site-specific plays in partnership with museums, historic sites, and other cultural institutions. Plays in Place has created site-specific plays in partnership with the National Park Service, Mount Auburn Cemetery, MassBike, Historic Northampton, Historic Deerfield, the Texas Historical Commission, the Old New-Gate Prison and Copper Mine, among others. This work has involved hundreds of theatre artists and commissions for more than a dozen playwrights.

In his spare time, he likes to fix up old houses and barns, and farm and garden.  He was part of the New Entry Farm Project in 2012 and 2013 and farmed plots of land in Dracut.
