Morris Norvin

Morris Norvin began to study art at the age of eight, attending various classes at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. At ten years of age, he enrolled in Ralph Rosenthal’s sculpture class there, continuing until the age of eighteen. He then enrolled in the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, receiving a diploma in 1985. Since that time, Morris has exhibited work in many juried shows and his work is in a multitude of collections, including the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. He was spent the past two decades teaching sculpture at the MFA Boston (the very class he attended as a teen) and owns and manages Stonybrook Metal Arts & Sculpture School in Boston, teaching welding, moldmaking, foundry and jewelry, as well as modeling the figure.
