Pianist Kristen Flanagan is an experienced performer, teacher, and arts administrator. She recently attended Brevard Music Festival, Eastern Music Festival, and Green Lake Chamber Music Festival. Passionate about both solo and collaborative repertoire, she frequently performs with instrumentalists and vocalists. She has performed in masterclasses with
members of the Parker, Dover, Borromeo and Shanghai quartets. In 2015, she was the recipient of the Susan Cunningham Campbell award and in 2017, the Eugenie M. May Piano Performance Award. Last spring, she was selected to present her honors thesis at the Massachusetts Undergraduate Research Conference. Additionally, she has served in administrative roles at various performing arts organizations such as the Springfield Symphony
Orchestra, Spoleto Festival USA and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. She received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she was a member of the Commonwealth Honors College. Her teachers include Gilles Vonsattel, Awadagin Pratt and Jeewon Park.
