Maureen Cavanagh

Maureen Cavanagh is the author of “If You Love Me: A Mother’s Journey through Her Daughter’s Addiction and Recovery,” published by Henry Holt, a national public speaker on the opioid crisis and its’ impact on the family, co-host of the podcast, “Collateral Damage, and the founder of Magnolia New Beginnings, a national nonprofit peer-support group for those living with or affected by substance use disorder.

She has been recognized by The New York Times, CNN, and other outlets for her work fighting the opioid crisis and the stigma that surrounds it. She holds a Master’s degree in Education as well as a Master in Public Administration, is an interventionist, recovery coach trainer , and Family Recovery Coach in private practice at Magnolia Recovery and Consulting and trains families and professionals on her NAADAC approved Family-Focused Addiction Support Training (F.A.S.T. ©) curriculum which educates on the Parent Perspective of Addiction.
