Pianist Linda Papatopoli is a classical pianist who performs extensively in the Boston area as well as having given performances in Europe, Japan, and Carnegie Recital Hall. In recent years Ms. Papatopoli’s repertoire has expanded to include her passion for the classical music of Spain, and her interest in literature and culture has led her to found the Boston Arts Consort, a successful performing arts and culture group she has directed since 2008, performing standard Spanish classical repertoire as well as Zarzuela. Ms. Papatopoli is also active in performances of the music of Boston composers of the Victorian era with soprano Jean Danton, and she is publishing a book of new translations and performance practice of Japanese Art Song with soprano Meena Malik. She is on the teaching faculty of Boston College and is on the piano roster of the José Mateo Ballet Theatre. She is honored to be performing with the Boston Arts Consort at the Writer’s Cafe tonight.
